Kuching International Street Dance Competition, Floor Mania 2016 will be held on March 12th in Kuching. The three-day event is jointly organized by the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party, The Kuching Civic Centre Welfare Administration, Sarawak Youth Development Ministry and the famous local dance school, Feasible Studio.

International Street Dancing event’s aim to promote good dancing skill and culture to Kuching youth, learn to improve their choreography, learn different dance routines, and to encourage more youth to discover the Street Dancing instead of spending their time unproductively.

This international tournament has invited three senior teachers from different countries to be the judges, the legendary veteran ‘Crazy Leg’ from the United States, the Malaysian Champion ‘Sabahmon’ , and the World Cup Street Dancing Third Placed ‘Baoz’ from Taiwan.

This competition is open to the participation from Malaysia and foreign dancers such as South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Algeria. The Double Champion will receive US $ 850 (about 3,500 ringgit), Single Champion prize is US $ 250 (about RM1,000 ringgit RM). This event is bound to set off a wave of exciting craze for Street Dancing in Kuching. Admission is free, all are welcome to witness this very exciting event.

This International event starts on 11th March with the workshop to give free lessons by Third Placed World Cup Taiwan’s ‘Baoz’ and American Street Dancing legend ‘Crazy Leg’ starting from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. All are welcome to join in the classes, the venue will at the 2nd floor Civic Center, Tower block, on the 12th March main dancing competition will held from 12 noon till 9pm at Ground Floor, Plaza Merdeka. The closing of the event will be on the 13th March at Escobar, Damai Central Square, from 6pm till late.
