SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) press statement
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap who is also the SUPP nominated candidate for N.12 Kota Sentosa at the request of the residents and business owners continues to monitor the completion of improvement works to traffic circulation in front of SJK Sam Hap Hin, Kota Sentosa Commercial area.
The scope of improvement works covers extension of 250 metres of road, construction of concrete drain, reinforced covered drains, repainting of traffic signage and installation of new traffic lights.
During the site visit, it was discovered that the work progress of the construction and improvement works of the project have speeded up and should be completed before the end of March, 2016. The traffic congestion is also reduced to a manageable level as the contractor have taken positive steps to ease traffic flow.
Whilst in Kota Sentosa Commercial area, some business owners have also requested for some drains to be cleaned to enhance water flow as currently there is flash flooding at certain sections after a heavy downpour. The business owners operating there also requested for repainting of some road signs and SPCB Wilfred Yap will highlight the same to the relevant authorities for their prompt action.
