SUPP Public Complaints Bureau press release
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by committee members of SUPP 7th Mile Sub-Branch that they have been receiving requests from residents and business owners of Kota Sentosa commercial area for assistance to request Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) to speed up the completion of improvement works to traffic circulation in front of SJK Sam Hap Hin, Kota Padawan.
The residents and business owners are unhappy with the traffic congestion they face daily due to the improvement works being currently undertaken.
The scope of improvement works covers extension of 250 metres of road, construction of concrete drain, reinforced covered drains, repainting of traffic signage and installation of new traffic lights.
Following the request received, SPCB Chief Wilfred Yap, who is also the SUPP nominated candidate for DUN Kota Sentosa, immediately contacted MPP on the matter and have together with the Council Engineer, Encik Mohd Hazwan Othman proceeded to inspect and assess the situation.
During the site visit, the contractor assured that they will speed up the construction and improvement works and will complete the project before the end of March, 2016. In the meantime, the contractor will also try to ease traffic congestion by not carrying out works which might disrupt traffic flow during peak hours to ease traffic flow.
