Secretary General Dato’ Sebastian Ting – On Paris Shooting
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Dato’ Sebastian Ting condemned the terror attack in Paris and is concerned that extremists are getting more frequent in this day.
He said the attack Friday night at about 8 pm which killed 129 people and injured 352 had shocked the world which bring Paris to its knees.
“The attack was horrendous, against the whole world, against humanity where innocent lives were lost and this attack must be condemned in the strongest possible ways, in words and in actions. The United Nations must provide the leadership. Full and thorough investigations in all aspects must be conducted to find the culprits and appropriate punitive actions must be resolved and taken by the United Nations, said Ting adding that during this difficult time, everyone must reach out in prayers for the innocent victims and their families members.
SUPP, he added, is gravely concerned with the increased activities of the extremists around the world.
“We in Malaysia are blessed with peace and harmony.. We must thank our Security Agencies in Malaysia for maintaining an excellent job. It is getting more challenging each day,” he said.
Ting urged everyone not to take things for granted and count our blessing for living in a peaceful country. He said it was thankful that there was no Malaysian among the casualty as reported by the Foreign office.
