New plank-walk for Kampung Wireless
Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting visited Kampung Wireless to inspect a project of 278-metre long plank-walk which would be expected to be completed in May.
Ting said work is on to replace the poles and planks which had started in February, and will be completed before May 4. The first phase of the project was completed last year.
According to him, the second phase of the project will be to repair and upgrade the 10 planks of various lengths between the houses in the village, located just outside the city.
The RM212,000-project will ensure that villagers will not worry of falling down as some of the planks had gone rotten due to wear and tear.
With Ting during the inspection were councillors and an engineer from Miri City Council, the village development and security committee (JKKK) members and the contractor.
