Statement by SUPP Central Women Section Chairman
International Women’s Day is a day to recognize women’s achievement regardless of their nationalities, ethnicities, economic or political backgrounds. From leader of the country to scientist, to multitasking super women at home, women play important roles in every corner of our society today.
It is our nature to care for others but very often women forgot to take care of themselves. Hence this year’s SUPP Women Central Theme for the International Women’s Day is “Love Yourself First”.
The theme aims to remind ladies to take care of themselves, and put their health as priority. Without health, nothing else matters. I also would like to encourage my fellow ladies to always stay curious and continues to learn regardless of their age.
With the ever changing world that we live in, we shall never felt intimidated by the new technology but learnt to utilize the new technology to benefit our everyday life. Not only that, women should also actively participate in the digital economy which is part of Sarawak government’s initiatives to develop the social economy of Sarawakian.
