Repainting work for Kota Sentosa wet market
A total of RM200,000 was given to contractor for repaining and improvement work for Kota Sentosa wet market.
This was after SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief and Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) Standing Committee Chairman for Market & Licencing, Cr Wilfred Yap raised the matter during the MPP monthly meeting. He was earlier approached by the hawkers of Kota Sentosa Wet Market to highlight their request and assist with application for development funding from the government to carry out repainting and improvement works for their market.
Yap said the improvement and repainting works have commenced and will take about one month to complete.
Yap hopes that some of the hawkers who are temporarily relocated will cooperate with the contractors to ensure that the works will be completed on schedule and he will continue to follow up and monitor the improvement and repainting works at Kota Sentosa Wet Market until all the works are completed by the contractors to the satisfaction of all parties.
