Malaysia Higher Education Seminars and Counselling
In conjunction with the announcement of SPM (16.03.2017) and STPM (28.02.2017) results, SUPP Youth Central Education Bureau will be conducting a series of Malaysia Higher Education Seminars and Counselling free seminar for those who just obtain their SPM or STPM results. The seminars will be held throughout the State in Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Sarikei, Limbang and Bintulu, said education Bureau Chief, Lai Huat Chai.
He said Seminars are meant to enlighten students and parents on the latest information on courses offered by local public universities (IPTA), scholarships and study loans, entry requirement, and assistance for IPTA on-line application. In addition, apart from Seminar and 1 to 1 counseling session, SUPP Youth Central Education Bureau will also host counselling on Facebook for those who are unable to attend our counselling.
There is also a Facebook group name: “SUPP Youth Higher Education Counseling”
For those in Kuching Division, two seminars will be conducted separately for STPM and SPM respectively and the details as follow:
Seminar 1: STPM on 04.03.2017 (SAT) 7:00PM at Dewan SA’ATI, SUPP HQ
Seminar 2: SPM on 18.03.2017 (SAT) 7:00PM at Dewan SA’ATI, SUPP HQ
Apart from the experience speakers from SUPP Youth Education Bureau, for the 1st seminar on 04.03.2017 (SAT), we are also inviting 2 experience speakers, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chin Suk Fun from University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) to hold a sharing session about the local university life for UNIMAS and another one is the officer from Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) who will deliver the procedure to apply for PTPTN and at the same time there will set up a booth for those parents and students who attend the seminar to register the SSPN account.
However, for the 2nd seminar on 18.03.2017 (SAT), we are also arranging an officer from Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam (SPA) to deliver the application procedure for those SPM or STPM leavers who are interested to apply for technical Training under Government Sector, for examples: Nurse, Medical Assistant, Agriculture training etc.
Students and parents are welcomed to attend.
