New Chief Minister reported for work
Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg has officially reported for duty yesterday at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia in Petra Jaya here at 9.10am.
He was welcomed by State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Sim Hui Kian and Wan Khalik Wan Muhammad, former principal private secretary to the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
Abang Johari was sworn in as the sixth Chief Minister of Sarawak last Friday at The Astana after Adenan passed on Wednesday at the SGH Heart Centre in Kota Samarahan.
Abang Johari who is also Satok assemblyman was appointed Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Housing and Urban Development as well as Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage during Adenan’s administration.
