SUPP to decide on CNY celebration
SUPP will hold a meeting to decide on whether its Chinese New Year celebration this year will proceed as in previous years or be held on a smaller scale. Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said that a meeting will be held later on to discuss the matter.
He said we will discuss it later when we had the meeting, as now is still the mourning period (for former Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem),” he added.
SUPP’s annual Chinese New Year Open House at its headquarters, with lion dance performances, fireworks, and visits by prominent public figures have attracted huge public crowds in the past.
