The Tan Guek Kee and Lee Siew Ling Charity Foundation

The Tan Guek Kee and Lee Siew Ling Charity Foundation of Lee Onn Construction Company give away cheques totalling RM55,000 to 11 charitable bodies and non-governmental organisations at their office yesterday.

On hand to present the cheques to the recipients were Lee Onn Construction Company managing director Tan Guek Kee and the guest of honour SUPP president Senator Datuk Sim Kui Hian, who praised the former for the philantropic deed.

RM10,000 each were the Kuching Autistic Association and Sarawak Heart Foundation while Kuching and Samarahan Breakthrough Network Centre Berhad, Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society, Hope Place and Kuching Life Care Society each received donations of RM5,000.

Other recipients included Che Hia Khor Moral Uplifiting Society Sarawak , RM2,500, Salvation Army (RM3,000), Che Hui Khor Moral Uplifiting Society Kuching and Samarahan Divisions (RM2,000), Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng (RM4,500) and Community Association of Kuching Division (RM3,000).

Since its establishment four years ago, donation of RM2.5 million had been given away to charities.
