SUPP president Tan Sri Peter Chin, who was invited by the Ying Chuan Chin Clan Association’s dinner at the Association of Churches last night, said the founding members of SUPP’s plan was to serve the people and he said such practice should continue for the sake of the people.
Chin said whoever is the President of SUPP is not important but serving the people is a must in the agenda of one of the oldest party in Sarawak.
Telling the clan members that even if he was not there to be President in future, he believed that future leaders would continue to serve and called on the clan members to give their support to the party.
He said, the most important thing is not the question of who would be the minister, but is to ensure that the party has the opportunity to serve, work together with the people, for the country and Sarawak.”
In this hard time for the party, he said just like everyone else, every party has its up and down and those in the party should not lose hope. He added that through thick and thin, everyone should hang on together for the sake of the party, the people and the country. Through that spirit, he believed that the party will rise again.
During the dinner, clan leaders also give incentives to over 150 pupils who had done well in their public examination. Also on hand to give out the incentive was the Publicity Chief, Dato’ Sebastian Ting.
