Preventing a half fallen tree from creating problems
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by Mr Chong, a resident staying at Lorong 1, Jalan Batu Kawa, Kuching who requested for his assistance to request MPP to urgently cut and clear a half fallen tree caused by the recent storm.
The resident had informed that the tree is about to fall onto the road and also a telephone pole and wires. According to Mr Chong, if the tree was to fall onto the road or onto the telephone pole and wires, it would cause great inconvenience to the many residents of the area.
The problem was immediately highlighted and brought up to the attention of the Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) and together with an officer from MPP’s Landscape Division went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to quickly resolve the problem.
The half fallen tree have since been chopped down .
