The Chief Minister has confirmed SUPP’s earlier nomination of its Secretary -General Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew for Piasau while party Information Chief Adam Yii Siew Sang for Pujut.
The Barisan Nasional (BN) has also decided to retain the incumbents for the Lambir, Bekenu and Senadin seats for the coming 11th Sarawak state election.
Sarawak BN chairman and Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said for the Piasau and Pujut seats, candidates from the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will be the BN candidates for them.
“I wanted to put to an end controversy and speculation by making the announcement tonight,” he said when launching Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Miri Zone election machinery at a local hotel here yesterday.
As for the semi-urban Senadin seat, the incumbent is Datuk Lee Kim Shin who is state Assistant Minister for Sports and Communication.
