Living it our under a bridge is life for Zulkiplee
Homeless Zulkiplee Pauzi lived in a little hut under a bridge at Stephen Yong Road which he called it a place of freedom for him.
In 2003 after an accident which caused him to lost his job, Zul who stayed with his family in Samariang Jaya moved out of the house.
He has three daughters and a son, two of whom were working, one married in Trengganu and one staying with his wife.
Drifting through renting places, Zul then went to stay under the bridge about 8 months ago.
He said a friend helped him constructed the hut and he planted bananas and vegetables.
He said many friends nearby would come to give him food or neccessity.
When State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang heard of his plight, he went to see him.
Zul thanked Lo and said he did not want to go to live in any old folks home or go back to his family.
He said he is happy where he is. Lo said he would continue to monitor Zul’s situation and that he respected Zul’s decision not to go anywhere.
A delegation from Baitumal headquarters also gave food to Zulkiplee yesterday.
