Dr Sim in Batu Kawa three corner fight
President of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) , Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian is facing Democratic Action Party (DAP) Christina Chiew and Independent Liu Thian Leong in the Batu Kawa constituency in a three corner fight.
Together with MCA President, Dato Sri Liow Tiong Lai and Gerakan President, Datuk Mah Siew Keong, his comrade Loh Khere Chiang who is standing in Batu Kitang and SUPP leaders, Dr. Sim has the biggest and noisiest group of supporters who cheered the candidates on.

Asking the Batu Kawa supporters to give him a chance, Dr. Sim said he is set to bring Batu Kawa more development and a satellite town. He said for the past five years, not much has been done to Batu kawa.
Dr. Sim said for any SUPP member who stood against any candidate without approval will be sacked.
“I have plan to focus on the infrastructure and also the place into a vibrant centre. And also we like to have more improvement and assistance to the schools for education purpose. I have already done a lot in Batu Kawa and will continue to do so,” he said.
