古晋南市市政局社区匹克球训练月已展开，砂副总理拿督阿玛沈桂贤乐见免费训练获得众多居民报名参与，并指这是促进社区凝聚力及体育锻炼的良好方法。 7月1日至31日为期一个月的社区匹克球训练月，每周六在达万拉鲁家庭俱乐部匹克球场举行。 沈桂贤说，这不仅是推广健康生活最好方式，还能让人们联系一起，希望更多居民能踊跃参与。 据他了解，目前已获168人报名，还有更多居民表示有兴趣加入。 沈桂贤日前在古晋南市市长拿督黄鸿圣陪同下，参观训练课程并与球员交流，表达对社区体育活动的支持。 匹克球已越来越受欢迎，并成为古晋市新潮流运动，鉴于日益增长的需求，他们正在努力提供更便捷的匹克球设施。 “政府正考虑建造更多匹克球场，以满足日益增长的兴趣。我们必须提供合适基础设施，以支持积极的生活方式。” 沈桂贤对市政局组织有意义社区项目付出的努力表示感谢，并赞扬市政局的出色举措，为古晋南市区居民提供更多通过体育活动保持活跃和健康的机会。 参加训练的人士也为即将于8月2日与3日举行的古晋节市长杯匹克球锦标赛做准备。比赛设女子、男子、混合双打公开赛及宿将男子双打公开赛，有机会赢球丰厚奖品，包括现金奖励、优质体育器材、奖牌、奖杯和证书。 沈桂贤也说，比赛将成为弘扬体育精神、加强社区联系和展示体育人才的绝佳平台。
陈超耀希望美里成东南亚最具识别度文化旅游城市

郑莉薲：火箭不愿看到砂拉越有更好未来
砂拉越人民联合党巴都吉当支部秘书郑莉薲表示，从砂行动党反对增加砂议会议席的举动看来，该党并没有计划想要为民众提供更好的服务，更不愿看到砂拉越有更好的未来，因此该党议员坚决反对增加砂议会法案是意料中事。 实际上，任何有利砂拉越发展的事项和决定，砂行动党都是持反对意见，这就是非常典型行动党以西马优先的作风。 砂议会只是提呈和通过增加议席法案，以便为选举委员会对划分新选区铺路，议会并没有通过或提及要针对哪个地区划分，就连这种最初的步骤行动党都要反对，摆明它们就是不想增加砂议会议席。 增加砂议会议席乃是顺应时代变迁，包括城市发展与人口增加，方便能更有效为地区带来发展和为民服务。现有情况是一位议员需要管辖的范围非常大，而且人口众多，这种现象往往会导致议员在任职期间，无法有效为整个地区和带来带来更好的发展与服务。 如果将这些人口众多和快速发展的地区划分为新选区，那么原有的议席范围，就会从原本一位议员，改换成两位议员共同分担，届时相关选区的发展和人民将能获得更好服务。 当然，如果行动党议员的思维是不积极为地方带来发展和为民服务，那么他们所中选的选区范围和人口大小、多少，都是没差别。 行动党一方面指责砂拉越基本设施不足，却在另一方面反对砂政府推行ART智轨计划、兴建机场；说人民生活艰苦，却支持扩大销售与服务税（SST）范围的决定；指责增加议席会增加砂政府开销，却对联邦教育部没有公开学生佩戴国旗扣章计划的开销账目，和庞大开销推行销售亭计划做出质问。 砂拉越政府的立场向来坚决，不仅要增加砂议会，以便为砂拉越和人民带来更好的发展与服务，更要增加国会议席，以符合MA63建国契约下，砂拉越与沙巴拥有三分之一国会议席。
许徳婉：民众仍需对治安保持警惕
