SUPP Piasau Mobile Service Team Assists Over 25 Applicants with Sarawak Government Welfare Schemes
The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Piasau Branch Mobile Service Team carried out its weekly community outreach this morning at Zhang Man Café, assisting more than 25 individuals in applying for various Sarawak government welfare assistance schemes.
SUPP Piasau Branch Publicity Secretary and Miri City Councillor, Councillor Cr Tan Lek Jin the most common application was for the Sarawak Basic Necessities Assistance Scheme, with around 15 people submitting applications.
He said other applications included registration for the Sarawak ID, the Spay e-wallet platform, the Senior Citizens’ Health Support Scheme, and the Kenyalang Gold Card. The service team did their best on-site to help residents complete the relevant application procedures.
“To stay close to the people and serve the grassroots, our branch conducts these mobile service sessions every Sunday to actively reach out to the community and assist those in need with their welfare applications,” he said.
Tan added that the team has consistently helped those interested in learning about or applying for welfare schemes such as the Basic Necessities Assistance, Sarawak ID, Spay platform, Special Aid for Sarawak Students, Senior Health Support, and the Kenyalang Gold Card.
He encouraged members of the public who require assistance especially senior citizens, vulnerable groups, or those facing financial hardship to attend the mobile service sessions to receive timely and appropriate help.
