New hawker stall centre for traders in Kpg Bumbok
MPP Chairman and ADUN Bt Kitang, YB Lo Khere Chiang is quite amused following a recent accusation of oppressing the Bidayuh hawker traders in Kpg Bumbok. “Would MPP spend nearly RM1 million in upgrading the roads, drainage and building a new hawker stall centre complete with proper parking lots and access roads for Kpg Bumbok, if it was our intention to oppress and devastate them?”, he said. “辉煌条纹”国旗打拇指印活动
一项由8个华青总团所推动的“辉煌条纹”国旗打拇指印活动，目前正在全砂各地积极展开中，以期能打破大马最多打拇指印纪录。届时，由全国各地民众打拇指印而成的国旗，将在916大马日上展现。 此项“Thumbs Up 4 MY”国旗打拇指印活动，在砂拉越推行时的主题为“我的国家马来西亚”，并由砂人联党青年团总团负责推行。在泗里街方面，则由人联党泗支部青年团负责推动。 砂首长署政治秘书邓文武表示，此项打拇指印活动是将国旗分切成数个2尺乘2尺的小区块，再分发到各地邀请各族民众，以拇指染在所属区块的国旗颜色，在该区块打上他们的拇指印。 截至目前为止，该活动在泗里街方面已收集到800多个拇指印，而他们最终的目标是1000个。 配合此项活动，人联党泗支部青年团团委们在团长兼砂首长署政治秘书邓文武的带领下，前天除了在“为残疾儿童而跑”大型关怀义跑活动上设立临时柜台，让民众参与之外，也前往泗圣安东尼中学，让该校师生一起在该区块上打上拇指印。
甘榜蓬波小贩中心课题
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强驳斥民主行动党古晋国会议员张健仁特别助理阿都阿兹指责市议会欺压甘榜蓬波（Kpg Bumbok）小贩的言论。 他表示，难道市议会花费将近100万令吉，提升道路，沟渠和兴建一座新小贩中心，备有停车场等设施，是为了“欺压”小贩？他说，巴达旺市议会已经多次与小贩对话，无论是在甘榜或小贩中心，而市议会是在和小贩达致共识的情况下，才决定提升该小贩中心。 提升小贩中心，包括提供水电设施的目的，是为了小贩和消费者的利益而考量。该中心可以为小贩遮阳，同时有明确的路牌指示，以及储藏空间让小贩使用。 罗克强强调，大部分的小贩都同意迁入该小贩中心。但是，的确有一部分小贩不愿这么做，继续在旧地方摆卖。 他表示，阿都阿兹利用这课题宣传，凸显后者在政治上不够成熟的一面。 他说，阿都阿兹应该与甘榜领袖沟通，清楚了解当地发生的课题，而不是急于发表言论，在小贩之间散播不满情绪。若后者有诚意要解决小贩的问题，应该致力促进小贩之间的了解与沟通。

峇哥中公迁校有望今年内落实
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤表示，峇哥中公迁校计划有望能在今年内落实。 他在出席佛林匹克运动会开幕仪式后，于受访时表示，教育部长原则上已经批准峇哥迁校，目前有待官方批文正式发出，便能开始执行各项后续工作。 “教育部长原则上已经同意（迁校），上一次过来（砂州）已说过会尽快批准。” 不过，他坦言，即使取得批文但峇哥中公新校的建设工程也许耗时二至三年才能完成，因此有足够时间让教育部物色足够的师资。 他指出，他将会继续跟进峇哥中公迁校的事宜，而且新的校地已鉴定完毕，学校蓝图也准备妥当，一旦批文正式发出，相关单位便能即刻展开后续工作。 “目前学校蓝图已经有了，只要批文正式下来，接下来的事情就容易办了。” 无论如何，沈桂贤希望峇哥中公迁校的计划能够在今年内开始进行。据了解，峇哥中华公学新校地位于三马拉汉区。
沈桂贤：欢迎议会推出环保措施
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤欢迎任何环保的努力。 不过，他表示目前其部门尚没有计划立法禁用塑料袋，因为这课题尚未明朗化。 他欢迎各砂拉越各个地方议会自行推广及探测落实的程度，毕竟只有议会才了解能够落实的程度。 他赞扬诗巫及美里市议会积极推广向塑料袋说“不”的决心，以配合联邦政府推崇的使用可生物降解产品的措施。 询及古晋地方议会是否会效彷一事，沈桂贤表示，该部门欢迎任何环保的做法及努力。与此同时，他也鼓励其他地方议会效彷，共同响应环保及再循环措施。 “只要是对环境保护利好的措施，砂拉越地方政府及房屋部一律欢迎！若强制禁用塑料袋，基于未做好任何准备的情况下，可能会面对措手不及的问题。” 沈桂贤续说，在国内有一些州属尝试禁止使用塑料袋，但没能成功，因此，砂拉越将会改以鼓励的方式看待此课题。
沈桂贤捐1万令吉予美里糖尿病分会
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤捐献1万令吉予马来西亚糖尿病协会美里分会，作为该会日常运作基金及筹建会所资金。 人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀代表沈桂贤，将捐款移交予马来西亚糖尿病协会美里分会主席陈超梅及秘书张旗何。 目前，马来西亚糖尿病协会美里分会仍在寻求政府拨地兴建会所，同时正在展开筹募会所资金。该会将继续举办活动，以筹募更多资金。

配合哈芝节，石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤于昨日（9月1日）造访其石角选区的清真寺和祈祷室，参与穆斯林同胞的宰牲仪式，并与众人交流，了解地方上课题和发展需求。 沈桂贤在首长署政治秘书陈开、公共投诉局主任叶耀星及石角服务团队的陪同下，前往石角警察普通行动组、石角第一期廉价屋清真寺、甘榜登雅双溪祈祷室、上湾头甘榜清真寺、甘榜旧新纳布迪祈祷室及甘榜实打博祈祷室。 在今年哈芝节，他总共派发11头牛予选区上的清真寺及祈祷室。
党领袖拜访民都鲁及美里党员
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤、秘书长拿督陈超耀律师、副主席拿督李景胜、宣教秘书俞小珊走访民都鲁、尼亚石山及兰卑尔支部，与党员交流。 一行人是于日前走访民都鲁和美里两地，拜访各支部。也是砂地方政府及房屋部长的沈桂贤在发表致词时，强调领袖走访各地，是为了与基层党员保持接触。 他说，即使过了去年州选，党领袖还是要积极听取基层人民的心声，尤其是那些没有居住在城市的乡区人民。 他表示，在民都鲁和美里的拜访行程上，讨论了社区领袖的委任。目前，美里只有28个政府委任的社区领袖，但诗巫却有超过130人。因此，美里显然需要增加社区领袖的委任。 “我将与砂政府领袖深入讨论此事。” 沈桂贤也呼吁每个支部，应该与党中央保持密切联系，汇报各地区的情况及课题。
罗克强：国人助马来西亚持续发展
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员罗克强强调，每个人都应该积极扮演角色，让马来西亚持续朝向繁荣。 他表示，希望马来西亚可以更加进步，取得更好的发展，而每个人都应该对此作出努力。 他说，在砂拉越拥有杰出的领袖，可以引领砂拉越迈向更大发展，这里也有足够的资源、人才及条件来达致目标。 罗克强是日前代表砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤主持和顺国术社国庆日活动时，这么表示。 “马来西亚是独特的国家，拥有不同种族及宗教背景，其和谐成为世界的典范。” 他指出，在庆祝831国庆日之余，政府也不应该忘记其他重要日子如916马来西亚日及722砂拉越日。他强调，历史非常重要，以为惟有历史可以告知真相，包括为何人们会在这里，这个国家。
9月4日为特别假期
砂拉越政府宣布，跟随联邦政府将9月4日列为公共假期。 来自砂首长署的文告，宣布这项决定。 同时，砂拉越中华总商会也宣布当天为假期。 为了欢庆马来西亚以145面金牌的佳绩摘下2017年东运会全场总冠军，首相拿督斯里纳吉宣布，9月4日（周一）为全国特别假期。 2017年东运会在国庆日前夕完美落幕，大马队在最后一天赛事以145金、92银、86铜的战绩，荣膺全场总冠军，是为国庆最好的礼物。 首相拿督斯里纳吉在东运会闭幕礼上致词时，为全民捎来喜讯，引起全场欢呼。 他说，马来西亚迎来3个喜庆，分别是国庆日降临，在东运会拿下史上最多面金牌，以及夺下全场总冠军。 他强调，政府感激大马健儿、官员和参与东运会的所有单位，让赛会取得圆满成功。
