Relocation of SJKC Chung Hua Bako
The site for the relocation of SJKC Chung Hua Bako could be identified this year, said Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Dr Sim was met by reporters at the Malaysian Buddhist Association Sarawak Youth Section’s ‘2017 Folympic Sports Day’ on the Jubilee Ground here yesterday.
He said the Ministry of Education agreed to the relocation plan and works could commence once the official letter from the ministry had been issued.
Dr Sim said project timeline could take from two to three years – from building the school blocks to sourcing for the teaching staff. He hoped that works could commence this year.
There is a possibility that SJKC Chung Hua Bako might be relocated to Kota Samarahan.
