SUPP submitted its list of candidates for upcoming general election
SUPP has already submitted its list of recommended candidates for the 14th general elections (GE14) to state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg for consideration.
SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said that the first submission was made during the Chief Minister’s birthday celebration.
Dr Sim, who is also Local Government and Housing Minister, however, did not disclose the number of names that the party had submitted.
He added that the candidates must serve the people with sincerity and not just doing it for the sake of publicity and the party will amend the list if the proposed candidates were found to be under or not performing.
According to him, SUPP has been ready for the parliamentary election since the state polls last year.
SUPP has only one MP after losing 6 out of 7 in the last General election.
