砂旅游、创意产业及表演艺术部副部长(旅游)拿督陈超耀代表副总理兼公共卫生、房屋及地方政府部长拿督阿玛沈桂贤,为第三届婆罗洲糖尿病大会主持开幕。 今年的大会吸引超过400名代表出席,涵盖医生、护士、专职医疗人员及研究人员,来自砂拉越、沙巴、汶莱及西马,体现了跨婆罗洲乃至跨区域的合作精神。 陈超耀指出,糖尿病是当今最严峻的公共卫生挑战之一。根据2023年全国健康与发病率调查,全国有18.3%成年人口患有糖尿病,几乎每五名成年人就有一人确诊。在砂拉越,比例略低,为14%至15%,但随着肥胖率上升,情况依然令人担忧。数据显示,几乎一半砂拉越成年人已属体重过重或肥胖。 他说,因此砂政府已将糖尿病与肥胖问题列为公共卫生重点,并推行多项举措,包括: 他强调,类似的大会对糖尿病防治工作至关重要,不仅有助于知识交流,也能推动伙伴关系,探索创新方法,提升临床实践,强化社区能力,并为公共政策提供参考。 陈超耀代表砂政府感谢大会主办方、医疗专业人士及合作伙伴的付出,并说唯有通过奉献、创新与合作,才能为砂拉越及婆罗洲地区建立更健康的未来。
