Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang Presents Sarawak Government Minor Rural Project Grants to NGOs and Community Groups
Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang today officiated the handover of the Sarawak Government’s Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants to various NGOs, community-based organisations, and associations.
The ceremony, held at the Pusat Khidmat Batu Kitang, was attended by community leaders, representatives of recipient organisations, and local residents, highlighting the state government’s continued commitment to grassroots development and community empowerment.
In his speech, Lo emphasized the role of local organisations in delivering meaningful activities and improving facilities for the benefit of residents.
“The Sarawak Government has always been committed to supporting NGOs and associations that serve the community. Through these MRP grants, we hope to encourage impactful programmes that uplift the welfare of the rakyat and strengthen the spirit of unity,” said Lo.
