Wilfred Yap Inspects Completed RTP Parking Project at Masjid Darul Barakah

Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap joined officers from Kuching South City Council (MBKS) for the final inspection of a newly completed Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2024 project at Masjid Darul Barakah, Taman Satria Jaya BDC.
The RM300,000 project involved the construction of a new parking facility aimed at providing safer and more convenient access for worshippers and the surrounding community. The facility is expected to ease congestion during peak prayer times and community events, while improving overall accessibility.
Yap expressed appreciation to MBKS for its role as the implementing agency, noting the council’s close supervision ensured the project’s timely and quality delivery.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serving all communities in Kota Sentosa regardless of race or religion, stressing that people-centric projects remain his priority.
“The GPS Government is committed to ensuring that every RTP allocation brings real and lasting benefit to the people. This parking facility is one example of how government funding directly improves daily lives,” he said.
The project highlights the importance of collaboration between elected representatives, local authorities, and the community in delivering meaningful grassroots development.
