国会上议员理事会访问古晋
由国会上议员理事会主席拿督斯里凯鲁丁沙末领导的12名国会上议员，于昨日礼貌拜会砂州元首敦丕显斯里泰益玛目。 国会上议员理事会此番来到砂拉越，是进行从本月4日至6日的访问行程。 之后，凯鲁丁沙末率领众人前往州立法议会大厦，礼貌拜会砂州州立法议会议长拿督阿玛阿斯菲雅。在现场，阿斯菲雅为众人汇报关于州立法议会大厦的运作。 下午，国会上议员理事会听取首长署策划单位副局长雷斯特的汇报。 来自砂州的上议员代表包括人联党主席拿督沈桂贤、再迪苏海里和拿督里汉佐。

Hit and run victim claim for pension, compensation, approved
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap together with SUPP members recently visited a resident of BDC Resettlement Scheme to inform him that SOCSO had approved his medical compensation of RM29,979.84 and invalidity pension of RM16.32 per day. The wife had earlier in asked for assistance on the status of his application for financial assistance in the form of medical compensation and invalidity pension. The victim had been involved in a hit and run accident – he is now bedridden and paralysed from the waist down.
SUPP Pending Women on the need to respect women
Dewan Rakyat had passed the Sexual Offense Against Children Bill 2017 yesterday. The bill which aims at protecting children under the age of 18 from sexual crimes are the result of hard work and dedication by many law makers, NGOs and women bodies. 沈桂贤：砂发展银行让砂政府从储备金赚取收益
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤认为，砂拉越发展银行将有助于让砂政府从储备金中，赚取更多的收益。 他表示，在过去，砂储备金都是让别人从中“赚钱”，但随着如今拥有砂拉越发展银行，将让砂政府自行决定借贷后征收多少利息，例如3%。 “如此一来，砂政府将能节省资金，甚至赚取更多的资金。” 沈桂贤是针对首席部长拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里宣布设立砂拉越发展银行一事，这么表示。
Dr Sim on the DBOS
Minister of Local Government Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said DBOS would enable the state government to earn more money from its own reserves. “Before this, other people make money from our money. Now we can decide how much we should charge the interest on ourselves if we borrow from it. Say, even 3 per cent is good enough. This way, we can both save as well as make money from our own money, instead of letting others dictate how we spend our own money,” he said.

SUPP Central Wanita Chairwoman, Datin Jennifer William strongly condemned a statement by Tasik Gelugor MP, Datuk Shabudin Yahaya’s alleged statement on child raped victims can obtain good life if they marry their rapist. Datin Jennifer strongly disagrees with such provoking statement, saying that it is insulting and disrespectful to women. “Rape is the worst sexual abuse that can be inflicted on women and children. 朋岭支部妇女组谴责巫统议员言论
砂拉越人民联合党朋岭支部妇女组坚持表明保护儿童的立场，并全力支持，加强及扩大法律及严厉对待儿童性侵犯。 支部妇女组对于儿童性侵法案能受到国家宪法所接纳感到欣慰，也向所有协助和支持相关法案，促使法案顺利通过对的单位深表谢意。 然而，这项利民法案的通过，却被巫统打昔汝莪（Tasik Gelugor）国会议员拿督沙布丁亚哈雅“强奸犯可娶受害人”的愚论而掩盖了。 支部妇女组今日强烈谴责沙布丁亚哈雅的解说。 “现今社会，诸如此类这般的观点可说是愚蠢，恶心和不尊重全体女性，他没有资格当一位领袖。” 支部妇女组也呼吁所有的家长们，教育好各自儿子如何尊重女性；教导他们的女儿勇敢面对，当遇到不公的对待和虐待就要站起来反驳。 “对于全体砂拉越的妇女，让我们一同携手为了我们的孩子，让他们在爱和鼓励的环境下成长。这是我们的使命。” 国家下议院昨日通过2017年性侵儿童罪行法案。这项为保护18岁以下儿童免遭性侵犯的法案是通过许多立法者，非政府组织以及妇女团体协力合作和付出的成果。 人联党向来关注和重视儿童性侵问题，朋岭支部妇女组也在上届党员大会上也提呈相关法案动议，并获得出席的党员支持与接纳。
