Donations from Sarikei Community for flood victims
Members of the public continue to show their generosity towards the unfortunate calamity suffered by the victims of flooding. Dato Sebastian, the party Secretary General recently witnessed such kindness from the people of Sarikei. A small ceremony was held recently to hand over donations received and collected from the Sarikei community for flood victims. In the picture attached, Ding Kuong Hiing, who represented the Sarikei Community, is seen here to handover the donations to Dato’ Sebastian Ting.
Visit to Home for the aged
SUPP Pujut Krokop Sub branch, together with Dato Sebastian Ting and Adam Yii, made the annual visit to Home for the Aged at Jee Foh 7, Krokop this morning at 9 am to give out ang pau and mandarin oranges to the residents there. The SUPP Pujut Krokop Sub branch Women Section also prepared a sumptuous lunch for the visitors. This is one of the annual charitable activities organised by the Sub branch Women Section.

Dr Sim Kui Hian working trip to Ecuador
President YB Senator Dr Sim Kui Hian recently made a working trip to Ecuador After two long tiring days (one of the longest flying that the good doctor ever had), the plane finally touched down at Quito, together with the Malaysia Parliament Senate President YB Tan Sri Abu Zahar and delegates. They were there for the Asian-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum. YB Senator Dr Sim is the lead author of one of the resolutions “Cooperation in responding to Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in West Africa in 2014” from Malaysia accepted by APPF.

美里实务的国会联委会5个支部执委于昨晚进行联合宣誓就职仪式。 砂人联党中央署理主席兼联邦人力资源部长拿督斯里理察烈代表不克出席的党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员担任晚宴主宾，同时名誉主席丹斯里陈华贵也莅临，场面热闹。 理察烈相信，在国阵各成员党的配合与努力之下，砂人联党肯定能在美里重整雄风。 他预测，州选很快便会到来，极有可能会在15个月内举行，因此党员们在现阶段就应当做好备战工作，启动竞选机制。 他强调，全体党员必须团结，在加上国阵各成员党的配合，砂人联党要重拾收拾失地绝对不是梦想，肯定能实现。 另外，砂人联党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师希望，随着美里实务的国会联委会旗下5个支部再次携手举办执委联合宣誓就职，将重振昔日风光。 他说，当晚也是党美里实务的联委会5个支部自2011年以后，再次举办联合执委宣誓就职。 他表示，回顾当年，美里是砂人联党在堡垒，阵容也强大，有过令人羡慕的辉煌时光。由时任党主席兼本州副首长暨财政丹斯里陈康南为首的“5人帮”，阵容更包括联邦部长、助理部长、州议员各一位，甚至也包括了市长拿督黄汉文。 “5人帮当时为了确保美里获得发展及进步，更组成美里发展宏愿队伍，为美里量身打造‘美里发展大蓝图’”。
陈超耀：教育部必须关注砂州教师课题
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师表示，在砂拉越参组马来西亚时所立下的18点契约当中，列明了砂州政府有权力掌管教育事务，这个协议必须获得认真重视。 他说，过去砂州鲜少经历中小学师资不足的问题，但如今情况已经改变，越来越少的砂州人在自己的家乡执教。 他向相关单位得知，一些从西马调派来砂州执教的教师，出现“水土不服”的情况，经常要申请回到西马。这对于学生来说是不公平的现象，因为短期执教的教师，会影响教学素质。 因此，他希望教育部能够深入探讨这个问题，尽量让砂州出生的教师，能够在砂州执教。

砂拉越人民联合党领袖于今日向已故敦拉曼耶谷献上最后敬意。 党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师及成邦江区州议员拿督法兰西斯哈登等人，与上午到州会教堂出席拉曼耶谷的瞻仰仪式。 前党主席拿督巴丁宜陈康南及夫人拿督罗娜也出席。
人联投诉局成功协助民众申请出生证
来自巴都吉当之许先生于去年12月初向人联投诉局反映其子女未获出生证问题。 经了解，当年许先生与一名印尼籍女子结婚时并无办理相关手续及注册。而该名女子已逃回印尼导致其子女无法办理大马出生证。事主儿子及女儿目前分别为十岁及八岁，目前因为没有出生证而无法就读小学。经过多年的努力与众人的帮忙还是徒劳无功。 事主翻阅报章得知人联投诉局帮助民众处理公共投诉后前往寻求协助。叶耀星律师得知事主的困境后答应尽力协助为其子女申请大马出生证。经与相关部门接洽并提呈所需文件后，已经成功协助其向国民登记局办理出生证。 人联公共投诉局提醒如有面对相关问题之民众与夫妻可前来寻求协助。经查证事属实况，人联党将伸出援手且尽力解决问题。任何相关事宜可联系公共投诉局0167797688 及082246999 或亲临人联党总部。
