SUPP – condolences for the late Tun Rahman

President of Sarawak United Peoples Party, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian said the late Tun Rahman was a great politician who has done a lot for Sarawak and Malaysia. He will be greatly missed not just by Sarawak but also Malaysia. Our sincere condolences to the family as an old family friend, as his doctor as well, as President of SUPP. As I am still in flight to Quito, Ecuador, for the Asian-Pacific Parliamentarian Conference, I am unable to attend the state funeral in person.

However, SUPP will be represented by the party leaders as well as the flag at half mast to appreciate the contribution of the late Tun Rahman together with SUPP in the formation of the coalition government in 1972.

SUPP Secretary General, Dato’ Sebastian Ting said he was saddened with the news of the passing of former TYT, who has brought peace and stability in the politics of Sarawak.

He said in the 70s when SUPP and PBB formed the alliances, there was harmony in Sarawak which then bring about development.

He said Sarawak has lost a great son who had contributed much to Malaysia, especially Sarawak. SUPP, he said conveyed their deepest condolence to the family of the late Tun.
