砂人联党对于阿邦佐哈里出席联民党党代强烈不满
砂拉越人民联合党对于砂土保党第二署理主席拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里，于昨日出席联民党首届党员代表大会的举动，表示强烈不满及遗憾。 党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员是透过一项文告，针对此事发表回应。 “今天，从报章上可看到阿邦佐哈里出席联民党首届党员代表大会的新闻，这些报导已经对砂人联党党员及支持者造成混淆。因此，砂人联党必须针对此事作出回应，以正视听。” 他表示，阿邦佐哈里出席联民党党员代表大会，可能会对砂州人民传达了混淆及错误的政治讯息。 因此，砂人联党对此感到非常遗憾及不满。 他指出，在1970年，砂人联党与砂土保党组成联合政府，从此为砂州带来和平，政治稳定，经济发展与和谐。而最有意义的，就是在1973年签署斯里阿曼和平协议，结束砂州的动荡时期。 在1974年，在已故前任首相敦阿都拉萨的领导下，国阵宣告成立，而砂人联党与土保党从此加入国阵，成为国阵成员党。 1987年，28名砂州州议员突然上演一场政变，在吉隆坡明阁酒店聚首，爆发明阁事件。而在当时，砂人联党成为土保党及国阵领袖的强力后盾，最终一起在闪电选举中胜出，让砂州国阵政府持续执政至今。 他强调，现有的砂人联党及土保党领袖，必须珍视及铭记历史，维持两党的合作友好关系。 “许多联民党的领袖，过去是砂人联党的一份子，而他们是在严重触犯党纪律下，被开除党籍，包括联民党主席拿督斯里黄顺舸。” 沈桂贤重申，在国阵章程下，任何新政党要加入国阵，必须获得国阵成员党一致支持及同意。这原则必须获得全体国阵成员党的遵从及维护。 “砂人联党强烈反对联民党加入国阵，同时在去年12月9日举行的党员代表大会，党代表一致议决，人联党必须角逐19个州议席，甚至包括新议席。” 他表示，砂人联党将把此事带到国阵最高理事会进行讨论。

第23届亚太议会论坛刻在厄瓜多尔首都基多举行，我国派出11人代表团赴会。 我国的代表团成员是由7名上议员和4名国会议员所组成，由国会上议院主席丹斯里阿布查哈率领，其他的成员包括上议院副主席拿督朵丽苏菲亚、拿督沈桂贤上议员、拿督斯里纳拉卡鲁班上议员、拿督费道阿都拉上议员、诺丽莎阿都拉欣上议员、拿督阿斯拉法瓦迪上议员、以及四名国会议员，即拿督奴查兰莫哈默、拿督莫希占伊布拉欣、安奴亚阿都玛纳、沈同钦。 来自28个成员国皆派出代表出席，包括澳洲、加拿大、中国、尔罗斯、新加坡、印尼、柬埔寨、菲律宾、智利、墨西哥、阿根廷、纽西兰和美国等。 第23届亚太议会论坛从本月11日起召开至15日结束，为期5天。
23rd Asian Pacific Parliamentarian Forum
A total of eleven Malaysian YB (7 Senators and 4 MP) delegates is currently attending the 23rd Asian-Pacific Parliamentarian Forum in Quito, Ecuador. The forum is attended by 27 Countries, including from Australia, Canada, China, Russia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, New Zealand and USA, all of whom are members of this annual forum. YB Senator Dr Sim Kui Hian is the lead author of one of the papers presented (“Cooperation in responding to Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in West Africa in 2014”), which is one of the five resolutions from Malaysia accepted by the APPF.

Donations from Sarikei Community for flood victims
Members of the public continue to show their generosity towards the unfortunate calamity suffered by the victims of flooding. Dato Sebastian, the party Secretary General recently witnessed such kindness from the people of Sarikei. A small ceremony was held recently to hand over donations received and collected from the Sarikei community for flood victims. In the picture attached, Ding Kuong Hiing, who represented the Sarikei Community, is seen here to handover the donations to Dato’ Sebastian Ting.
