Wilfred Yap Inspects Completion of Hui Sing Community Hall Upgrade

Hui Sing Community Hall has been upgraded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2024 with RM200,000 allocated for repairs and improvements.
Kota Sentosa assemblyman, Wilfred Yap together with Kuching South City Council (MBKS) officers, conducted a final inspection of the project, which addressed long-standing issues such as a leaking roof and structural wear after more than 20 years without major renovations.
The upgrading works included roof repairs, structural strengthening and essential improvements to restore safety, comfort and usability for residents. “The Hui Sing Community Hall has always been a focal point for residents. I am pleased the upgrading works are now complete, allowing the hall to once again serve as a safe and comfortable venue for community activities,” Yap said.
He also expressed appreciation to MBKS and the contractor, Sam Contractor, for completing the works ahead of schedule with quality workmanship, noting the project reflects effective collaboration between elected representatives, agencies and local contractors.
Yap said the initiative demonstrates his commitment to improving community infrastructure and addressing residents’ needs through concrete action.
