Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Central Youth Chief, Michael Tiang has coined the word “EDGE” to represent the youth logo as a new identity to march the party candidates into the election battle grounds as the defenders for Sarawak and SUPP.

Inviting the Party president, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian to launch the logo, Tiang said  E.D.G.E means E – Enthusiastic which is very
important for the youths to be part of SUPP with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm for Sarawak. Enthusiasm for the well being of Sarawakians, which comprise of all races, religions and cultures. We can’t tell the youths to love Sarawak and join SUPP. But their love for Sarawak must come from their own hearts, and their enthusiasm leads them to SUPP, which is the longest established political platform in Sarawak since 1959.

D – Dynamic , Let your enthusiasm and passion turn into actions! Nothing speaks louder than actions. One medical doctor used to advise me that, “Speak less, do more. Prove your sincerity by actions.” In fact, there are no louder words than actions. Therefore, SUPP Youth must be synonymous to ACTIONS.

G – Gritty

A recent studies in the States found out that among many children, those grew up to be outstanding and excellent in achievements, are those who are gritty. The one who are persevered and determined. There’s a saying that, “it’s hard to beat someone who never gives up!” Our forefathers built this Party with their grit and sacrifices. SUPP Youths therefore wish to inherit their spirit so as to build a Stronger SUPP to serve the people of Sarawak.

E – Effective

SUPP Youth must be effective and influential in our society. Effective in helping our society, contributing solutions to our problems, effective in making a difference in people’s life by channeling government resources through creative and impactful ways.

Tiang pointed out that as the 14th General Election is approaching, it is therefore also a right time for SUPP Youth Central to launch a new logo to mark as the renewed identity for our Youth team to march into the election battle grounds as the defenders for Sarawak and SUPP.

He added that the Youth is tasked with a mission to continue to educate our Sarawakian younger generation about Sarawak’s position and rights under MA63. We are responsible to nurture a new generation of defenders to safeguard Sarawak. We are also commissioned to build up young entrepreneurs to participate actively in digital economy as envisioned by our YAB Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abg Zohari Tun Openg.

As for this coming General Election, SUPP Youth are ready to go to the frontline and give support to all BN candidates. We are also committed to defend our ground through social media.
