SPCB: pot holes and uneven road condition in Kampung Semaba
The SUPP Public Complaints Bureau was recently approached by residents of Kampung Semaba who complained of pot holes and uneven road condition within the vicinity of their village roads. 圣约瑟中学铜乐队拜会首长
古晋圣约瑟中学铜乐队将会在12月8日（星期四）晚上7时30分在黄土路的三一教堂举办第五届年度演奏会。 砂地方政府部长兼古晋圣约瑟中学校友会主席拿督沈桂贤于昨日上午率领该铜乐队的成员与教师，一起礼貌拜会首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登，邀请他出席当晚演奏会。 沈桂贤表示，除了邀请首长出席演奏会之外，也借此机会感谢后者过去以来对于古晋圣约瑟中学铜乐队的支持及提供赞助。 他称，来临的演奏会主要是为古晋圣约瑟中学铜乐队下一年的活动经费筹款，该队每年需要至少12万至13万令吉的运作经费，而这笔经费还不包括出国参赛的开销。 古晋圣约瑟中学铜乐队获奖无数，曾在2015年拿下美国纽泽西雅马哈杯学校乐队比赛第三组冠军，技压全场，同时也在2013年拿下德国国际音乐嘉年华公开冠军。 目前演奏会的票券已开始发售，票价为200令吉、100令吉及50令吉（仅限学生），民众可通过圣约瑟中学（082-240885）、圣约瑟私立中学办公室（082-414575）购买。 沈桂贤亦是铜乐队的顾问，随同今日拜会首长者包括铜乐队指挥林秀蓉和古晋圣约瑟中学乐队家长会主席朱莱米。
登记局本周五开始处理无国籍问题
砂国民登记局近期所设立处理本州所存在的“无国籍土著”课题的特别行动组将于本周五开始在诗巫再也社区会堂为期三天，设立柜台协助办理身份文件，给予公民权。 首长署政治秘书程明智今天发表文告说，该特别行动组将于本周五至周日三天从早上八点到下午五点开放服务柜台为民众处理身份证和公民权事项。 程明智指出在砂拉越特别是内陆地区，土著依然难以申办大马卡。甚至有许多有居民都无出生证明。他表示，这个课题已经存在良久，现金砂拉越人口不断在增长，造成“无国籍土著”越来越多。 他同时也表示，对于拥有出生证明，但是被列为“无国籍”的人士，必须提供父母的大马卡副本、父母结婚证书以及祖父母死亡证书，作为申办大马卡的支持文件。社区领袖如屋长和本固鲁是有关当局进行求证的重要角色，让没有出生证明的土著子女申办大马卡。 虽然这次国民登记局特别行动组主要是协助土著办理登记身份证和公民权，程明智也呼吁诗巫市区有任何面对同样难题的民众欢迎前往诗巫再也社区会堂寻求当局协助。
沈桂贤：石角社区救援队成立
砂人联党主席兼石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤披露，随着雨季即将到来，石角社区救援团队成立，以未雨绸缪，将灾害损失降到最低。 他是出席石角尖山民众会堂颁发水灾援助金，接受媒体访问时如是表示。 他透露，随着该团队成立，将召集200名村民接受民防局、消防局的3天培训，并从中提高民众对水灾的防范与基本救灾意识，以降低灾害的损失与风险。 他也感谢国油公司愿意履行企业社会责任，赞助3天培训课程费用及救援设施，培训课程预计在今年12月进行。 “一旦地区发生水灾问题，就会启动该救援团队进行救灾。” 他相信，该水灾救援培训将能提供民众有关急救及求生的有关知识。 另一方面，沈桂贤致词时说，虽然这些援助金数额不多，但是至少它可以减轻一点生活负担及平复他们的灾后心情。 他续说，由于拨款是来自联邦政府，可能在发放时间稍有延误，希望他们保持耐心。 据悉，当天前来领取援助金的受惠者多达688位，他们是来自浮罗岸（N9）、朋岭（N10）、峇都林当（N11）、哥打圣淘沙（N12）、峇都吉当（N13）及石角（N14）的居民。
罗克强移交风灾援助金
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市主席罗克强于昨日前往甘榜哈基巴基，分发2100令吉援助金予该甘榜的风灾灾民。 该甘榜共有3间房子的屋顶在本月16日一场强风中遭受破坏，罗克强当时收到通知后，即刻将此事告知社会福利局等相关单位以寻求紧急援。他非常感谢，伊斯兰财库基金（Baitulmal）提供该笔援助金。 罗克强呼吁民众，基于现在天气相对往年有点不一样，因此每人要仔细检查自家屋顶，以预防屋顶面对遭大风吹掉的风险。
