Wilfred Yap Inspects Completed RTP Projects in Kota Sentosa

Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap conducted a final inspection of three Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects together with Kuching South City Council (MBKS) officers to ensure the works were completed according to specifications and the bill of quantities.

The projects, carried out under RTP 2024 and 2025, involved the upgrading of the Taman BDC Stampin recreational park at Lorong D8A (RM200,000), Phoning Garden neighbourhood park at Lorong Seladah 1 (RM50,000), and Green Height recreational park (RM50,000).

Yap said inspections were necessary to ensure public funds were fully accounted for and that contractors delivered quality projects that benefited the people.

“Every sen allocated under the RTP belongs to the people. It is my duty to ensure that projects are implemented properly, with transparency and accountability, and that residents of Kota Sentosa receive facilities that improve their quality of life,” he said.

He added that the successful completion of the projects reflected his commitment to listening to community needs and delivering on promises made to the people.

The upgraded recreational parks are expected to provide safer and more family-friendly spaces for residents to exercise, relax, and strengthen community ties.

The inspection also underscored the Sarawak government’s commitment through RTP to improve infrastructure and community facilities across constituencies, with MBKS working closely to ensure projects are implemented efficiently and according to standard.
