Piasau Branch Service Team’s Mobile Outreach
The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Piasau Branch Service Team conducted its weekly mobile service yesterday morning at the Marina City Commercial Centre in Miri, providing assistance to residents on matters such as Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) applications and Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefit schemes.
SUPP Piasau Branch Publicity Secretary and Miri Cr Tan Lek Jin said that next week’s mobile service will focus on the “2025 Kenyalang Gold Card and Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefit Mobile Service” to be held at the Miri Indoor Stadium.
The event, scheduled for August 16 and 17 (Saturday and Sunday) from 9 am to 4 pm, is jointly organised by the SUPP Piasau Branch Committee, Youth Section, and Women’s Section, in collaboration with the Sarawak Welfare Department.
Chen said that to make it easier for applicants to receive their Kenyalang Gold Card on the spot, the organisers have arranged with the Sarawak Welfare Department to provide an “apply and collect immediately” service, allowing applicants to obtain their card directly at the venue.
Sarawakians aged 60 and above who hold the standard “K” MyKad can apply for the Kenyalang Gold Card. Applicants must bring photocopies (front and back) of their own and their guardian’s (if any) MyKad. Successful cardholders who meet the eligibility criteria can also apply for the Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefit scheme, which provides up to RM500 in annual medical assistance at participating clinics.
