Wilfred Yap Visits Desa Library for Launch of RM100,000 Upgrading Project Under RTP 2024
Kota Sentosa state assemblyman Wilfred Yap visited the Desa Library at Taman D’Everglades in Stutong Baru today to mark the start of an upgrading project under the 2024 Rural Transformation Project (RTP), valued at RM100,000.
During the visit, officers from the Public Works Department (JKR) officially handed over the Letter of Award to the appointed contractor, Rumaino Company. The project will involve the construction of a covered open space, a new fence, repainting works, toilet repairs, and other general refurbishments.
Yap said the project is aimed at turning the Desa Library into a more welcoming and functional space for children and youth in the neighbourhood. The works are expected to be completed by January 2026.
“Although there are many urgent requests from the community, I am committed to addressing them one by one,” Yap said. “As your wakil rakyat, I will continue doing my best with the resources available to ensure our communities benefit from improved public facilities.”
He also expressed appreciation to the JKR officers for their cooperation and called on the contractor to carry out the work efficiently and according to schedule.
“I hope the upgraded space will become a vibrant learning hub for many more years to come,” he added.
