MPP Chairman, Cr. Tan Kai Chinese New Year Oranges Distribution in Kota Padawan

In a heartfelt initiative to foster closer ties with the local community, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman, Cr. Tan Kai, distributed the Council’s 2025 calendars and festive oranges to nearly 350 shop houses in Kota Padawan yesterday.

This gesture aligns with the spirit of neighborliness, as the Municipal Council is situated next door to these establishments. The initiative also reflects MPP’s commitment to strengthening relationships with the local business community, particularly during the festive season.

Accompanying him were Temenggong Dato Tan Joo Phoi and Resident Councillor Cr. Shirley Pui, who actively engaged with shop owners and tenants. The activity provided an opportunity for MPP representatives to share festive greetings, reinforce mutual support, and encourage a collaborative approach to community building.

Tan Kai emphasized the importance of fostering a close connection between the Municipal Council and the local community. “As we enter 2025, this small gesture is a token of our appreciation for the hard work and contributions of our local businesses. The festive season is the perfect time to come together and strengthen our bond as neighbors.”

He said the distribution of calendars serves as a reminder of the Council’s ongoing dedication to serving the community, while the festive oranges symbolize good fortune and prosperity for the year ahead.
