Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman Tan Kai went to JKR Divisional office to hand over the petition from Mr Michael Kong ( MP Stampin ‘s special assistant) on the construction of speed bumps along Jln Sungai Tapang to Mr Liew Ming Chek, the divisional engineer of JKR Kuching.

Kong submitted the petition to MPP on May 16. However, the maintenance of Jln Sg Tapang does not falls under the jurisdiction of MPP but under JKR.

“ I am surprised that why Mr Michael Kong has been on the ground for so long, yet he doesn’t know that Jalan Sg Tapang is a JKR road. Why should Michael Kong do such a thing without checking his facts and targeting MPP for no reason at all, asked Tan Kai. “

Tan Kai further comment on Michael Kong’s letter to MPP, asking MPP for urgent and immediate action, he said if the information is not based on fact, then it is definitely not fair comment.
