State Assemblyman Batu Kitang, Dato IR Lo Khere Chiang at an anti drug dialogue session

National Anti Narcotics Agency, Kuching Branch (AADK) with Anti Drug prevention squad team attended a dialogue session at Dewan Kpg Haji with Kampung Haji Baki leaders to work out drug problems in the area there yesterday.

State Assemblyman Batu Kitang, Dato IR Lo Khere Chiang gave away vests and caps to Skim Rondaan Sukarelaan (SRS) which is under Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) Kampung Haji Baki is a body under Jabatan Perpaduan.

Lo urged the community patrolling unit and everyone in the Kampung to play a proactive role to prevent drugs peddles there as it could destroy the whole community.

He learned that there were presence of drug addicts there and believed it could be due to the weak enforcement from authorities concerned.

Lo also urged the SRS to work out where drug peddlers dropped the drugs and they can forward it to the authority concerned as there is no law under AADK to nab the peddlers or deal with them.
