Mirians getting free rice
A total of 6, 800 bags of rice were distributed to Mirians during a charity event organised by the management committee of Dewa Some Shak Long Kung Temple annual charity event.

In conjunction with this event, UNIFOR through Sarawak government came with 2 allocations, an amount of RM 1.7 million was approved for Persatuan Penganut Dewa Some Shak Long Kung Temple and RM 800, 000 approved for Gurdwara Sahib Miri.
Miri SUPP leaders, Datuk Sebastian Ting, Mayor Adam Yii and Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin were presented at the ceremony.
