Tan Kai urges Sarawakian to apply Higher Education Scholarship and Study Loan from Yayasan Sarawak

Political Secretary to Premier, Tan Kai said the objective of Yayasan Sarawak under GPS Sarawak Government is to provide higher education scholarship and study loan for Sarawakian irrespective of background, race or religious, and to assist them to complete the higher education.

Tan Kai urged students who have completed Form 6 study and STPM examination to apply for Yayasan Sarawak higher education scholarship and study loan if they wish to pursue higher education in government university or three universities in Sarawak namely Swinburn University of Technology, Curtin University Sarawak Campus and University College of Technology Sarawak.

The application successful percentage is as high as 95% as it is zero interest in study loan and repayment is 1 year after graduation.

Furthermore, it also provide very high rebate percentage of 25%, 50% and 75% on condition that the applicant score outstanding result during their study.

Yayasan Sarawak also provide one-off allowance for low income family during their university entry .
