Polling starts from 7:30am to 5pm on December 18, says Datuk Sebastian Ting

Datuk Sebastian Ting, a candidate for GPS/SUPP reminded all voters that they can vote at any time between 7:30am to 5pm on the polling day on December 18.

He said there is no limited time on any voter to vote and the people can come out to vote without fear.

He said there is a rumor that “you must go to the polling station to vote within two hours of the voting time” is fake and malicious.

Ting said he has contacted Miri Election commission, (EC) who confirmed that it was a rumor.

He said those who had checked their status with the EC may note that there was a time suggested but it is not compulsory.

“In fact, this is just a measure taken by the EC, but voters are not forced to follow the suggested time on the system to vote, nor should they not vote because of the indicated suggested time.

He suggested to voters to check whether they have changed their polling stations. The website is https://pengundi.spr.gov.my/.
