Wee Hong Seng appeals for understanding to Kuching Branch to work together

Mayor Wee Hong Seng who is also GPS Candidate for Padungan’s appeal to Kuching Branch Chairman, Datuk Lily Yong through his FB account and as personal friend to resolve their differences, misunderstanding, and disagreement as a family, benefit the umbrella GPS and SUPP in the name of collective responsibility at around midnight yesterday.

A few hours before, Lily Yong held a press conference expressing her Branch’s disappointment of the last-minute change of candidate by the Party.

Wee said he understood Lily’s frustration but they shared a single all-time opponent – DAP and Chong Chieng Jen, whom they agreed to be unworthy of winning the Padungan.

He said as a personal friend, he appealed to Lily to work together with him for the sake of SUPP and GPS.

Wee humbly ask for her help, and assistance, to help SUPP and GPS win back the Padungan seat, which had been held by DAP and PKR for many years.

“I strongly believe that my proposed manifesto, if materialised, will truly bring Padungan to another height, and that of its constituents welfare. SUPP Kuching branch will also benefit from this. l acknowledge her expression of disappointment, and we can both work towards a united Consensus after the election, ” he added.

In the coming 12th Sarawak Election, Wee is taking on Democratic Action Party (DAP) Chong Chieng Jen as well as Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party candidate Lina Soo (Aspirasi) and Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) candidate Raymond Thong in a four-cornered fight.
