卑尔骚区砂政盟候选人拿督陈超耀提醒所有选民，12月18日投票日当天早上7时30分至下午5时任何时间都是可以去投票，千万不要因为选举委员会官方网站的时间限制而不去投票。 对于“按投票时间的2小时内必须到投票站投票”传闻，陈超耀召开新闻发布会上通过电话向选举委员会（SPR）砂局长贾斯尼确认，并不真实。 他澄清，传2个钟到时间必须投票不属实，那只是疫情下的建议时间。 他说，选民如果通过选举委员会的官方网站或是应用程序，查询各自的投票时间时，会发现到有显示一个“红色字体”的建议投票时间。 “其实这就是选举委员会做出来的措施，但是选民并不被强制需要跟随系统上所建议的时间去投票，也不要因为时间限制而不去投票。 他说，有关建议投票时间只是选举投票日的标准作业程序，希望把人潮分散。 “投票日当天，只要城市地方，在美里三选区内，投票时间从早上7时30分开始，下午5时结束。” 此外，选举委员会为了防疫，第12届砂州选举卑尔骚州选区也增设多个新投票站，故选民受促前往投票前，务必先上网查询自己是否已更换投票站，网址为https://pengundi.spr.gov.my/，以免投票日当天走错投票站而扑空。
