SUPP 55th anniversary

SUPP Youth Chairman, Tan Kai who is also the organising chairman of the party’s 55th anniversary this coming 4th June, urged all to join the tradition of flag raising ceremony on June 4 at the party headquarters at 9 am.

Tan Kai said the symbolic flag raising ceremony is held every year at SUPP party headquarter as well as many other branches throughout the state to commemorate the founding of the party on 4th June 1959.

Despite the recent events, he said SUPP members are in celebratory mood following ROS’s favourable ruling on the legitimacy of the party’s central leadership as well as its two branches, Piasau and Bekenu.

“This is the time for all SUPP members and supporters, regardless of their age and gender, race or religion, to be once again reunited as one, to recreate and relive the glorious days our party once had. We must set aside our differences and be united in order to regain the people’s trust, and the coming party anniversary is the best time for us to come together and achieve unity, he added.

Tan Kai urged all members to stay strong in this difficult time and believed that only through their loyalty will they able to overcome this crisis.
