Concern for flooding by residents of Jalan Durian Burung
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) was recently approached by residents staying at Lorong 1, Jalan Durian Burung and its surrounding areas behind the ongoing Gala City Development. The residents expressed their concern of potential flash flooding during heavy rain causing anxiety and inconvenience.
A meeting was arranged between Mr Lee Chin Teck, the developer of Gala City Development with the residents of Lorong 1, Jalan Durian Burung and its surrounding areas. The developer brought along consultants and main contractor to brief the residents and to answer all their queries and concerns. The developer also assured the residents that the consultants have done a thorough study to minimize potential flooding during heavy rain in the area.
During the meeting, the residents also appealed to the developer and relevant authorities for an additional access road and to reduce the gradient of the road from Jalan Tun Jugah into Lorong 1, Jalan Durian Burung.
