Deputy Prime Minister Visit to Sibu
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi flew into Sibu late yesterday evening for an overnight visit.
Ahmad Zahid, who arrived with Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, was greeted on arrival by Sarawak Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian and Sarawak International Trade and E-Commerce Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh.
Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan also arrived from Kuching the same evening.
Ahmad Zahid chaired a coordination meeting on the reconstruction of dilapidated schools in Sarawak.
He was scheduled to visit SMK Rosli Dhoby; SMK Durin; SK Sungai Salim and SK Kampung Banyok.
The DPM will hold a press conference at the Sibu airport before returning to Kuala Lumpur.
