An alternative road for the Stampin Resettlement Area

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), will apply to the Federal government for an alternative road to be constructed for the Stampin Resettlement Area as part of a plan to ease traffic congestion.

In a press conference yesterday, Milton Foo, Youth central Publicity chief, Tan Kai and Wilfred Yap, Sentosa SUPP Chairman held a press conference yesterday morning to show an unamed new road (Next to Stampin Baru) which they said can be linked to another road to the housing area in the Stampin resettlement area.

The portion which is the missing link is about 500 meters and SUPP will seek the Ministry of Transport approval to join the link so that the resettlement scheme residents can enjoy another route to their houses.

The three called for DAP not to make so much noise but to get their words into action. Yap said he is still waiting to see Sentosa assemblyman, Chong Chieng Jen’s report card on what he has done at the resettlement area.

They also asked Chong to help out in his area instead of expressing his concern and criticized everything the SUPP were doing in Batu Kawa.
