Sharing the spirit of togetherness in celebrating local culture
Minister of Local Government Senator Datuk . Dr. Sim Kui Hian is happy to see that people from different races and religion congregate together to enjoy a week long celebration with food, music, and activities that feature unique cultural traditions at Padang Merdeka.
Dr. Sim said Sarawak is one State where there is no issue with race and everyone enjoyed each other’s festival with harmony. This is what is unique about Sarawak – adding that even lion or dragon dance consist ed of Bumiputera participation – Malay, Iban, Bidayuh
He urged all Malaysians to remember and celebrated the original of 1963 spirit and continued with the harmony and unity of all.
