Students with excellent results rewarded by Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian
A total of 117 outstanding students from the Batu Kawa constituency, who excelled in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), were yesterday awarded certificates and incentives by the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government and also N14 Batu Kawah Assemblyman, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian. 沈桂贤颁发优异生奖励
来自石角选区117名在大马教育文凭（SPM)和统考生杰出学生，今天获得石角区议员拿督阿玛沈桂贤颁发奖励金和证书。 这些学生在上述公共考试中，获得5A或以上，他们除了来自石角选区三所中学，即石角民立中学、石角国中和石角煤炭路国中，有些则在其他中学就读，不过都是属於石角地区学生。 巴都吉当议员拿督罗克强也出席今天下午在石角路洪清河多种用途中心举行的颁发奖励金和证书仪式。 也是砂副总理兼公共卫生、房屋及地方政府部长的沈桂贤在致词时表示，这项颁发奖励金与证书仪式，是一种认同和鼓励学生在上述两项考试中考试优越成绩。 “每一次的公共考试，我们都有许多学生获得优越的成绩，说明我们的学生水准很高，家长重视孩子的教育，老师努力教导的成果” 沈桂贤说，砂拉越在各个领域都有杰出的人才，例如全国杰出的癌症研究专才就是来自砂拉越。 他表示，砂拉越需要更多，也会努力培养杰出人才，否则不能应付砂拉越快速发展需求。 “砂拉越心脏中心，就是砂拉越本身努力发展起来的，它今天成为区域杰出医院，证明砂拉越人有能力和势力，而砂拉越中央医院也在多方面获得国际肯定。” 因此沈桂贤说，无论学生日后到哪里，都要记得砂拉越是我们的家，它时刻都要我们做出贡献。 他指出，砂拉越政府正积极培养学生，除了提供各项奖励和福利，也提供免费教育让学生进入砂拉越政府所属的5所大学就读。
