叶耀星：政府应考虑增加援助金援助贫苦家庭
随着我国新冠肺炎案例居高不下，人联党圣淘沙支部主席兼公共投诉局主任叶耀星希望政府秉持一切以民为本的方针。 他说，国盟政府可考虑增加援助金以协助城市低收入户渡过难关，尤其在福利方面，政府应考虑增加对已经接近财政临界点的家庭提供援助，确保这些家庭无论在住房，工作，收入，教育或一般基本福利方面都得到切实照顾。 “政府迫切需要改善针对弱势群体的社会保障计划，特别是失业，低收入单身母亲，残疾人和一般低收入家庭为主的家庭。” 另外，叶耀星持续收到非常多的投诉及请求协助。日前接获八点地第3及20巷两户居民要求协助维修年久失修的房屋。叶耀星已向相关单位高层反映并希望可以尽早修复；他也希望政府可以简化申请政府维修房屋援助的程序。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。
Needs of people come first, said Wilfred Yap
With the continuous high incidences of Covid-19 infections, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief Wilfred Yap hopes that the Government would always place the needs of the people as top priority.
