Wilfred Yap looks into dilapidated road conditions in Sg. Tapang
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Chief Wilfred said residents of Kampung Sungai Tapang had complained about the the dilapidated condition of a certain section of Lorong 5 prone to flash flooding and which is frequently used by the residents to send their children to St Alban’s Primary School and when they go to Church for Sunday worship. Following the request for assistance received, the complaints were immediately communicated to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) and the dilapidated section of Lorong 5 have been filled with quarry stones and resurfaced with bitumen.Read More
沈桂贤：地方议会法令修订旨在提供更好服务
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督斯里沈桂贤澄清，2020年砂地方议会（修订）法令第3条文中的土地事项，让所有地方议会可以根据土地法典，将土著地列入可供所有用途的列表。在砂议会中，反对党州议员试图将这条文扯上地方议会有权征地展开商业用途。 他强调，这绝对不是砂政府的意图。 有鉴于此，他认为有必要纠正反对党虚假的指责。事实上，该条文主要是让地方议会获得土地，以履行地方议会的职责，比如在管辖范围内落实任何工程及计划，包括兴建公共游乐场、公共图书馆、市集、体育中心及托儿所等公共设施，以造福当地居民，以及整个砂人民。 他说，砂政府要为人民带来更多发展设施，尤其是提升乡区发展建设，这是出自于好意，不应被任何人，包括反对党政治化。乡区更多的发展，将让地方议会能够为人民提供更好的服务。
